Upper Blackrock Spire
Levels 59-60
Forever beta 1.60.1.70009
TL;DR
Top of Blackrock Spire and the end of our Onyxia attunement: General Drakkisath drops the blood you need. Not tested in Forever yet.
Where: Blackrock Mountain, between the Burning Steppes and Searing Gorge (client data).
Level: Icy Veins 59-60; Wowhead 58-60.
Onyxia attunement, Horde (Blizzard), after LBRS
- What the Wind Carries: Thrall, then find Rexxar on the roads of Desolace: The Champion of the Horde
- The Testament of Rexxar: to Myranda the Hag, Western Plaguelands
- Oculus Illusions: Black Dragonspawn Eyes
- Emberstrife: use the Amulet of Draconic Subversion, find Emberstrife in Dustwallow Marsh
- Four quests starting "The Test of Skulls": Scryer, Somnus, Chronalis, Axtroz
- Ascension...: Dull Drakefire Amulet back to Rexxar
- Blood of the Black Dragon Champion: kill General Drakkisath in UBRS
- Back to Rexxar for the Drakefire Amulet. Keep it in your bags; it does not need to be equipped.
Blizzard: start early, bring friends for the elite quests.
Key? Unconfirmed !
- Blizzard's attunement guide sends us into UBRS and never mentions a key.
- Wowhead's quest list (Classic data) still has Seal of Ascension and Blackhand's Command, and the beta client still contains the seal items.
- Safe plan: have one of the group bring the seal until launch shows the door is open.
Other Horde quest !: The Darkstone Tablet, Shadowmage Vivian Lagrave, Kargath (Wowhead, Classic data).
Legacy: counts toward Master Spelunker, the 46-60 dungeon point (beta client data).
