The Deadmines

Level: Icy Veins 17-26; Wowhead 18-23 !.
Where: inside a building in Moonbrook, south Westfall.

What Horde get here

• Legacy: The Deadmines is on the Novice Spelunker list (the 15-25 dungeon point) with no Horde swap; only RFC/Hall of Thanes is an either-or (beta client data). The credit is Edwin VanCleef's kill. Legacy points are account-wide (Blizzard).
• Paladins (Undead only on Horde): A Moon-Kissed Blade from Lumina Windsinger, Silverpine, has objectives in The Deadmines ! (Wowhead only).
• Other quests: Icy Veins lists seven, all Alliance.

Getting there on a PvP realm

• No Horde flight path in Westfall (client data). Blizzard: on PvP you are almost always at risk of attack.
• Icy Veins: a boat from Ratchet (to Booty Bay). Wowhead: zeppelin to Grom'gol, then swim north up the coast to south Westfall ! (one source each).

Bosses (if you go)

• Rhahk'Zor: pull his two Defias Watchmen away first.
• Sneed's Shredder: AoE fear, so clear the goblins first; Sneed jumps out when it dies.
• Gilnid: comes with a Goblin Engineer; kill or control the engineer.
• Mr. Smite: stuns the group at 66% and 33% and swaps weapons; Smite Slam hurts.
• Captain Greenskin: patrols with a Squallshaper (Frost Nova, kill first); Cleave.
• Edwin VanCleef: Thrash; kill his two Blackguard adds first, and more come at 50%.
• Cookie: interrupt Cookie's Cooking, it heals him.

Drops (both guides agree): Cruel Barb and Cape of the Brotherhood (VanCleef), Smite's Mighty Hammer (Smite), Emberstone Staff (Greenskin), Buzz Saw (Shredder).
